The Brief
I worked with Angel Advance by analysing their debt advice feature, and understanding ways to improve their user experience, enabling people to help get the advice they need in a dignified manner.
Following an initial stage of UX analysis, I proposed many points within the platform that could be improved, from user interaction when filling out their details, to how the information is presented to them when complete.
This was a challenging project, given the nature of the user journey, and there is a large quantity of information required, that could change the outcome of following questions. It was imperative that we were able to provide indicators within the UI where they are up to, how much information is remaining, and add incremental steps that allow the user to come back at a later date if they wished.

With the nature of this brief, and the handling of such sensitive data, the main aim was to ensure the user felt comfortable, and in a safe environment at all times.
The user flows enabled autosave when inputting, and allowed the user to enter their information at their own pace.
The actual flow itself may vary depending on what information the user supplied, and through visual indicators and a clearly stated naviagtion, meant that the user would always know what stage of the process they were up to.
We wanted to to give a comfortable and pleasing UI on top of what, at the core, was a complex and intricate piece of UX. It was imperative that the user was able to understand that Angel Advance was here to help, and push them to complete the entire journey, resulting in them improving their personal position, and one step closer to solving their debts.

I started by analysing their current assets and style guides, making sure that any colour combinations within their current UI Palette are of adequate levels to the Web Accessibility Guidelines, and providing Angel Advance with a UX Report, going in depth regarding the process they already had in place.

The main flow within the feature was inputting the user data through a series of questions. The user was able to break from inputting when ever they wish, and was presented with a dashboard indicating where they are up to in the full process.

Recurring Features
Over the course of two years, I worked with Angel Advance implementing a range of features analysing the many steps needed to provide this service.
There were a range of challenges through this time, trying to reduce unnecessary clicks, and understanding what information needs to be presented from a legal point of view.
The designs have been optimised for all viewports, and ensured that usability was at the forefront when understanding how the feature would display responsively.
